So you want to have your event in downtown...

That is fantastic! Downtown is everyone's neighborhood. Many organizations choose to hold community events like car shows, festivals and charity walks, races, and 5ks* here. We'd love to add your event to the schedule!

In order to request a street closure for a community event, a completed application along with supporting documents must be submitted and approved by the Board of Commissioners.

Here's how:

  1. Fill out this application.
  2. Return the completed application to the Winchester Police Department AT LEAST 30 days prior to your event.
  3. Schedule an appointment with the Chief of Police to discuss the details of the event.
  4. You will need: a completed application, a map of the event area, a certificate of liability insurance.
